The project consists of a three story addition to the existing Building 7, phase 1. The addition includes approximately 86,200 GSF of floor area, with additional penthouse mechanical space of approximately 8,000 GSF. The first and second floors are fit out to accommodate R & D laboratories, the third floor was left as shelled space. A rated seismic joint separates phases 1 and 2. David was Project Architect/Mgr. while working for Flad Architects.

Cell Culture Facility Phase II
A new facility inserted into a recently completed building. Program included labs, environmental rooms, gowning rooms, media prep, fermentation and purification suites for the production of coagulation factor 8 for human blood from modified mammalian cells. David was Job Captain while employed at Quasar Architects, Engineers & Builders.
Miles, Inc. (now BAYER) - Berkeley, CA
Building 49 Upgrade
12,500 sq ft renovation of 38,000 sq ft cGMP production facility with media prep and sterile filling suites.
Process Development Facility
Conceptual design of a 10,000 sq ft addition of labs, offices, environmental rooms, gowning rooms, fermentation and purification suites.
