This project was conceived to be the first major remodel of Joe Esherick's illustrious masterpiece of adaptive reuse in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. The Cannery celebrated the 40th anniversary of its re-birth in 2007 when David was working on this project as Senior Project Manager for BCV Architects. As with so many other projects that year, the funding was lost and the project put on hold.

David was employed as Project Architect at Flad Architects when he brought this project into the S.F. office. Fermentation and cloning - age old principles in the making of wine. Duarte Nursery is the largest permanent crops nursery in the United States, with a history of aggressively marketing innovative products. This project was for the new office building, however, the economy forced these plans to be put on hold.

David was employed as junior designer at Gensler Assoc. when Disney was rolling out a new store per week. These stores were designed with a kit of parts, coordinated with local MEP engineers and issued for bid and permit within a few weeks of design kick-off. Stores were mostly located in the western U.S. and in Great Britain.

This project is preparing Piers 15 and 17 on the Embarcadero waterfront for moving the Exploratorium from the iconic Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina to a more central location. This massive $140M project involves several reviews by city, state and federal agencies as well as the full seismic upgrade of a historic finger pier. David was Sr. Technical Architect in charge of building code review and integration while employed at EHDD | Architecture.
